“Why not?” he asked her.

“Too pale.” she told him.

“So what?”

“Pale means sickly.”

“Or sunscreen.”

“Or Mad Cow Disease.” she retorted.

“Pale does not mean Mad Cow Disease.” he said, rolling his eyes.

“Have you ever had Mad Cow Disease?”

“Twice last week and my coloring was wonderful.”
